Welcome Home Barnyard Sanctuary relies most heavily on
the support of the community. This is especially true of our volunteer
network. Without the assistance of volunteers from the area, we would
not be able to accomplish all of the wonderful plans we have for the
sanctuary. Our volunteers are precious to us and we welcome you to join
us. We have volunteer opportunities for most ages and every ability
level. No special skill or training is needed only a love for the animals
and a desire to help! Volunteers are supervised as needed and we strive
to maintain a safe and yet fun environment - both for our volunteers
and the animals that live here! No amount of time is too great or too
small...come and help...there is always something to do at the barnyard.

VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Welcome Home Barnyard Sanctuary really loves and
appreciates its volunteers! In order to show our gratitude, each month
we select and highlight a “Volunteer of the Month.” This
is someone who has gone above and beyond in helping the sanctuary attain
its goals and meet its needs. Our volunteers work long, difficult hours
and in return receive only the love of our animals and the undying gratitude
of the Sanctuary’s Director. They deserve kudos and we want them
to know how much we appreciate them.
This month’s “Volunteer of the Month”
is:
PORTIA ODELL!
Portia is a Senior at Ray High School. She has been the driving force
behind our internet presence and has worked tirelessly with those
of us who are “techno-challenged” in putting our sanctuary’s
best hoof forward. Her skills and talents are invaluable to our mission
of education and we are most grateful to her for the long and tedious
hours she has given to this project. Without her help, you would not
be reading this!!! To Portia we say “HOORAY, Whinny, Baaa, Quack,
and Neigh!”
